As we approach the end of the year, we would like to share some news on the committee front with you.
Catherine Pienaar’s (Camargue Underwriting Managers), our President for the last two years, term will expire on 31 December 2021. We need to mention that Catherine’s tenure as President was probably the toughest two years of GWII’s existence and we, as the rest of the committee, would like to thank Catherine for the incredible role she has played. GWII’s events went on, although virtual, and was outstanding in a time where others were still wondering how they are going to make it happen.
Our current Deputy President, Wilmine Prinsloo (King Price), will unfortunately also be stepping down at the end of 2021 and we thank her for her contribution to GWII.
Tammy Jackson (iToo), who has been a GWII committee member since 1 January 2017 will also be stepping down at the end of 2021. We thank Tammy for her commitment and dedication whilst serving on the committee. We will really miss your ideas, passion and drive.
We are very excited to announced that two of our current committee members will take the reigns as follows:
- Catherine Naidoo (Innovation Group) President 2022 (and thus Vice President 2021)
- Shaazia Khan (Coface), Deputy President 2022 (and President 2023)
Congratulations to Shaazia and Catherine Naidoo, we are extremely excited to have you lead the GWII Committee!
