  • Hard work
  • Ambition

  • Confidence
  • Dedication

From your personal experience, why is GWII a beneficial platform for our members and the industry?

GWII enables women of all ages to learn from and empower each other, this committee opens up doors to network with women in all walks of life and career journeys, and to encourage women to talk to and learn from each other.

What role will GWII play in the future for women in our industry?

I hope that the GWII continues to empower women to learn, step up, educate, and promote themselves and each other.

What advice do you have for other women entering the industry?

Don’t be afraid to open yourself up to new opportunities, start small, join an industry event where you don’t know anyone, meet people, ask questions, and set clear challenges and goals for yourself.

As Deputy President, what does GWII have in store for our members in 2024?

There are so many exciting things to look forward to in 2024, we have 18 events planned for the year split between LeaderWalks, online CPD events, Mix and Mingles and Networking events. It is also our 10-year anniversary as the GWII, so we have something special planned for each month. Also, be on the lookout for our new committee members.

What personal message do you have for our members as we embark on a new year?

Try to find something good in each day, I hear everyone say that the days and months go by too quickly. As we end another year, wondering where the time went, and start next year, I encourage you all to write down one thing every day that you appreciate and keep it in a jar - at the end of the year, open the jar and reflect on the year and all the positive things that happened.
